When the chimneys on the inside are covered in soot, you can use a rotating brush system with chains.
A package consists of:
Metabo powerdrill B800 S with 530/1400 Rpm
- 1 pc. 6 meter 24/13mm flexible shaft
- 1 pc. 3 meter 24/13mm flexible shaft
- 1 tube set, consisting of 3 tubes each with a length of 50 cm
Chain brushes 5-7-10-15-20 and 24 cm
The Danduct Clean cleaning equipment for removal of soot and other particles is the best tool for cleaning in ducts and chimneys.
The shaft is mounted on a strong Metabo power drill, lowered into the chimney, activated and slowly pulled up through the chimney. This process can be repeated until you have a good result. You can choose from 6 different brushes of chains ranging from 5 to 24 cm.
On the illustration you can see how the tubes are applied to the power drill and how the rubber shafts are mounted. You can use a 3 meter or a 6 meter shaft, or you can even connect the two shafts with a connection piece.
At the end of the flexible hose these is a thread, where you can apply chains or brushes. Here you also have the possibility of extending the flexible shaft with bars or tubes.
You can also work without the flexible rubber hose and still use the tube set for cleaning of ducts and boilers. You can extend the tool to fit each job by connecting the bars.
For cleaning chimneys covered in soot on the inside you need to work on the inner sides with series of hits.
This can be done with a tool, consisting of a driving machinery, a flexible shaft and a rotor head with chains.
By activating the driving machine, the rotor head will rotate in the chimney. With the aid of the flexible shaft and the chains the soot will quickly and effectively get crushed and grained into particles falling down to the bottom of the chimney.
For horizontal cleaning the best solution is to work with firm tubes of either 50-100 or 150 cm. The tubes can be used in extension of each other or as the first piece before the flexible shaft.
